[Drone development]
"Terra Lidar" is a drone-mounted high-precision laser mapping system that is developed, produced, and sold in-house. It is a product that converts data acquired by customers on-site into 3D point cloud data through cloud processing.
Currently, we are performing 3D mapping by combining GNSS/IMU and LiDAR data measured in the sky. We are looking for a mapping engineer for post-processing SLAM to evolve the product into one that can be used as a ground mapping hand scanner with the same device.
Since GNSS cannot be used to estimate self-position on the ground, we aim to use LiDAR/INS to estimate self-position and attitude, and then create highly accurate maps through post-processing. By creating a device that can map in the air and on the ground, we aim to take the surveying industry to a higher technological level and create a more efficient society.
Existing data acquisition and mapping are automated using ROS, Python, Matlab, etc.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing the data acquisition and map generation system.
